President Donald Trump discussed his first 100 days in office during an exclusive interview with ABC News, discussing a wide range of issues from the economy to immigration, executive powers and foreign policy.
In an oval office with the news presenter of ABC and the national correspondent Senior Terry Moran, Trump highlighted the immigration policies of his administration and tried to reassure the anxious Americans in the economy. He acknowledged that Russian President Vladimir Putin could be “hitting him” in the Peace Conversations of Ukraine and repeatedly criticized his predecessor, Joe Biden.
The interview is broadcast on ABC at 8 PM ET, 7 PM CT. It can also be transmitted later on Tuesday at ABC News Live, Disney+ and Hulu.
And he gave positive comments about some of the officials of his administration, including the Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, and billionaire Elon Musk, who directs the government efficiency department.

‘They registered for it’
Asked by ABC News Moran for a message to voters who can feel some anxiety about the perspective of higher tariff costs, Trump said he has fulfilled his firm campaign promise to reduce prices on his first day in the White House.
“There is a lot of concern about there,” said Moran. “People are worried, even some people who voted for you say ‘,’ I didn’t sign up for this. ‘So how do you respond to those concerns?”
“Well, they actually registered for it. And this is what I campaigned,” Trump replied. “I said that they have abused us from other countries at levels that nobody has seen before … I could have left it that way, and at some point, there would have been an implosion as nobody has ever seen. But I said: ‘No, we have to solve it.’ I wanted to do this for many years.”
Trump affirmed the credit, so he said they were lower prices for gasoline and groceries, specifically pointing to the eggs, which arose as an important problem during the 2024 campaign.
“They hit me the first week, ‘Eggs, eggs, eggs’, as if it were my fault. I said: ‘I did not cause this problem. This problem was caused by Biden. What is the problem with the eggs?’ And they said: “They have doubled it.” “And by the way, and there were many eggs for Easter, for which we just passed.”
Trump says that immigration policies ‘seem to work’
Trump promoted immigration policies of his administration and responded to concerns about the illicit deportation of some people living in the United States, maintaining that they are “careful” in their efforts.
“Well, they seem to work,” Trump said on his methods to reduce illegal crosses along the southern border.

Moran questioned Trump about whether he agrees that even “really bad guys” deserve due process.
“Well, they get a process in which we have to take them out, yes,” Trump replied, and he added later that “if people come to our country illegally there is a different standard. These are illegal. They came illegally.”
When they later asked about Podcaster’s comments and Trump Joe Rogan’s defender that those who are deported must have due process because “we have to be careful not to become monsters while fighting monsters,” said the president of Agreement.
“Oh, I agree with that hundred percent, yes. We want to be careful,” Trump said. “We are careful. We are doing something that must be done. We have a very sick country.”
Trump in its use of presidential powers
Trump framed its unprecedented use of official powers to boost their political agenda as a necessary step to cure a “sick” country.
“What do you tell the worried people you are taking, seizing too much power and becoming an authoritarian president as we have not had before?” Moran asked.
“No, I would hate them to think that,” Trump said. “I am doing one thing: I am making America great again. We have a country that was failing. We have a country that laughed around the world. We had a leader who was very incompetent. He should never have been there.”
Putin may be ‘taking advantage’ to Trump throughout
In a publication on social networks on Saturday, Trump said that “there was no reason for Putin to shoot missiles in civil areas, cities and towns, in recent days,” he added that “it makes me think that perhaps he does not want to stop war, he is simply hitting me and has to be treated with different, through” banking “or” second sanctions. “Too many people are dying!”
“It’s possible,” Trump told Moran from Putin “touching him.” “Yes, that is possible. Of course. I could be touching me a little. I would say that he would like to stop the war. I think …”
“Do you think that?” Moran jumped.
“Yes, if it weren’t for me, I think I would like to take care of the whole country, personally,” Trump continued. “I always felt, so when I left, I didn’t even have the possibility of this happening. When Biden got involved, I will not say if he handled it or not correctly, but obviously it was not good, because the war began.”
The president continued to say, “I think Putin wanted all Ukraine,” and said Putin invaded Ukraine because Biden was in office. “I think that if he didn’t win the elections, he would have obtained all Ukraine.”
He later added that “and for me, I think he is willing to stop the fight.”
Trump answers the questions about Dux
Trump, when discussing the Efficiency Department of the Government of its Administration, the effort headed by billionaire Elon Musk to free the federal government of what they call waste and fraud, said that references to the Department of Justice have been made to the prosecution for fraud charges.
Moran asked if Doge, who has reduced foreign food programs and medical research, among other articles, had “too far away, too fast, too reckless.”
Trump said: “No”, saying that Dege had saved the country billions.

“We also find tremendous waste, fraud and abuse, as they know. We find a lot of fraud. There was a lot of fraud,” Trump said. “Fraudulent things were taking place, and we ended that, and those people will suffer …”
When asked several times if fraud references were made to the Department of Justice, Trump said: “Has there? Yes, he has done it.”
“So, have there been references due to Doge’s work fraud?” Moran asked Trump.
Trump replied: “Of course there has been.”
BASHING BIDEN
Throughout the interview, Trump repeatedly accused former President Joe Biden of incompetence and blamed his predecessor for countless challenges facing his administration. Moran also asked Trump about his decision to strip the security details of his political opponents and seem to go to some law firms.
“Are you using your powers as president to take revenge staff?” Moran asked Trump.
“No. I will tell you what, I tell you what you are, no, you are not really asking and you should ask. There has never been a president in this country in history who was persecuted as if he were persecuted by really crooked people,” Trump said. “Dishonest, horrible people. And it has been tested.”
Later, Moran asked Trump again if “does that give you the right to chase your political opponents with the powers of this office?”
“I’m not going, I’m not going, I’m going, everything I am doing, hey, Biden did something to me, and I did something for Biden. And you know why I did it? Because he is very incompetent,” Trump said. “That is not a man who should be allowed, you know, look at things that are very confidential.”
Trump defends the reputation of the United States abroad
A day after Canadians voted to choose a fourth consecutive liberal government and keep Prime Minister Mark Carney, who has been fiercely critical of Trump’s tariffs and annexation threats, Trump minimized bitter relations with the neighbor of the northern United States.
“You were a big problem,” Moran told Trump about the elections. “And the Canadians, many of them, are really angry, furious, to speak, ‘we are going to take control of Canada. It will become the state 51 …'”
“That is his prerogative,” Trump said.
When Moran pointed out a decrease in Canada’s trip to the United States, Trump said: “We are very well.”
“It seems that there have been damage to reputation,” Moran told the president.
“The country is very good,” Trump said.
Later, Moran asked Trump if he thought that “the reputation of the United States has been reduced under his presidency?”
“I, no, I think it has gone up, and I think we are a respected country again,” said the president. “We laugh around the world.”
