President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Telegram that the “terrible attack” hit “an ordinary city, ordinary life: houses, educational institutions, street cars.”
“And this is on a day when people go to church: Ramos Sunday, the party of the entrance of the Lord to Jerusalem,” he added. “Only scoundrel can act like this. Taking the life of common people. My condolences to family and friends. Now a rescue operation is underway. All the necessary services are working.”
“A difficult reaction in the world is needed,” Zelenskyy wrote. “The United States, Europe, all in the world who want the end of this war and murders. Russia wants exactly this type of terror and are dragging this war. Without pressure on the aggressor, peace is impossible.”
“The conversations have never stopped ballistic missiles and air bombs,” Zelenskyy said. “We need the type of attitude towards Russia that a terrorist deserves.”
