The French president, Emmanuel Macron, told journalists at the G7 summit that President Donald Trump told other leaders that an offer has been made for a high Fire in Israel-Iran.

“An offer has been made, especially to have a high fire and start broader discussions. And I think this is something very good. So we need to see what interested parties will do,” Macron said.

“I think the ads made by President Trump are very positive and the role that the United States of America will have to play is key,” Macron said. “The French with them, the British and the Germans are available to resume serious discussions, discussions that we have never stopped,” he added.

The comments of the French president occurred after Trump abruptly left the summit, citing increasing tensions in the Middle East.
