At least one person died and another 32 were injured in a burning collision on Sunday morning between a full tourist bus and a disabled SUV stopped on a highway in Los Angeles County, authorities said.
The collision occurred just after 5 in the morning, the Pacific time on state route 60 near the unbalanced community of Los Angeles County of Finance Heights east of the center of Los Angeles, according to a statement from the officer Zachary Salazar, a spokesman for the California road patrol.
The tourist bus took 63 passengers when he crashed with a Nissan Pathfinder who was disabled in the lanes west, the CHP said in a statement. The Nissan exploded in flames as a result of the collision, according to the statement.

The Nissan driver, whose name was not launched immediately, died on the scene after being trapped in the vehicle on fire, according to the statement.
The fire did not spread to the tourist bus, but 32 of the 63 people aboard the vehicle were taken to local hospitals to receive injury treatment, according to Salazar.
The tourist bus driver, identified by the CHP as Sui Sheng Du, crashed into the rear of the disabled SUV, according to a preliminary investigation conducted by the CHP.
“As a result of the impact, the Nissan Pathfinder was completely wrapped in flames, catching the occupant,” according to the CHP statement.
After the collision, the bus diverted to the right through multiple lanes of the highway and crashed into a high metal and wood railing along the right shoulder, the CHP said.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department said that two bus passengers were in critical condition and the remaining victims suffered smaller than moderate injuries.
Salazar said the tourist bus was heading to Koreatown in downtown Los Angeles when the accident occurred. He said the bus came from the Morongo Valley, about 110 miles east of Los Angeles.

It was not immediately clear what caused the SUV to disable, Salazar said.
The CHP said that neither alcohol nor drugs seemed to be a factor in the accident.
